BSc CSIT, which is taught for 8 semesters (4 years), is being taught by 53 colleges in Nepal. In this program also subjects like computer engineering, computer system, application, programming are studied.
This course is designed for 126 credit hours by integrating computer science and IT. This includes less hardware issues and more software issues. It has more than 70 credit hours of computer science courses.
15 credit hours for electives, 12 credit hours for natural sciences, 6 credit hours for management, 6 credit hours for math, 3 credit hours for technical writing and 9 credit hours for projects and internships.
Students who have completed higher secondary level (grades 11 and 12) in the Faculty of Science or have completed studies like Plus Two from other foreign universities or educational institutions recognized by Tribhuvan University can study these programs at graduation.
Students who have passed at least second division at the level of Plus Two are eligible to study CSIT. After that, you have to pass the entrance exam taken by TU with at least 35 percent marks.
Students in both the Biology and Mathematics groups at the Plus Two level are also eligible for this course.
After reading this topic, you can work in different roles including system analyst, system administrator, system manager, project manager, software programmer, database designer, database administrator, network administrator, graphics designer, web developer, web designer.
You can also work as an IT Officer, Information Security Analyst, Information System Auditor, Cryptographer, Application Developer, Telecommunication Engineer, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Technical Content Writer etc.
